job summary:
Candidates must already be a CURRENT resident of Wisconsin. No relocation is allowed. 100% remote work is an option. Can accommodate if candidate wants to work onsite in Madison. There will be occasional (potentially twice a month) weekend or evening work, but this is not an on-call position.

responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of applications and support for business requests. The person in this role will manage integrations. This project requires knowledge of full stack development. This is an application support position.
- Performs front-end and back-end development of web applications and web APIs (web services).
- Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates documentation, and performs application coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
- Implementing or using security controls directly into the software development lifecycle, including GitHub Advanced Security.
- Provide support for security including vulnerability remediation, participation in security initiatives, escalation support for cybersecurity incidents. Ensure regulatory compliance in systems.
qualifications:
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing web-based applications using the .NET framework to support business requirements. Includes the use of related development technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, .NET CORE, and supported programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, bootstrap) and scripting languages (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript).
- Experience with ASP.net and SSRS reporting.
- Requires a bachelor's or associate degree in area of specialty or 5-8+ years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and best use of judgment and diplomacy.
- Experience with SQL Server and relational databases.
- This position requires knowledge of secure software development frameworks, including NIST 800-218 SSDF and ISO 27034 to ensure the delivery of secure and compliant systems.
- Experience ensuring enforcement and advancement of security and DevSecOps standards through secure development practices, vulnerability remediation prioritization, automated testing, performance monitoring, and compliance with organizational security frameworks.
