TRAVEL OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (OT) | CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) for a contract opportunity in the Wichita Falls, Texas . The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions that help individuals regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) License in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current NBCOT certification preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Previous experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, acute care, outpatient, or home health settings preferred
• Strong evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Travel experience preferred but not required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Assess physical, cognitive, sensory, and functional abilities
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional independence
• Provide mobility, self-care, and adaptive equipment training
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and home programs
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
• Promote patient safety, independence, and overall quality of life
