job summary:
A Sales Engineer, OEM and Strategic Accounts is needed for a leading cooling technologies organization. The Sales Engineer will serve as the primary technical partner to sales team, enterprise customers, and consulting engineers within the data center cooling market. This role translates customer requirements into customized thermal management solutions, equipment selections, and technical submittals. Ultimately, the position drives revenue growth by delivering fast, accurate, and commercially competitive solutions for mission-critical infrastructure.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least five years of solution sales experience in HVAC or data center infrastructure. The role requires a technical command of chiller and heat rejection equipment, a proven quota-carrying track record, and the ability to secure new accounts. Applicants must also demonstrate executive-level communication skills and a willingness to travel with over 50%. This position can be remote.

responsibilities:
- Deliver technical sales support, equipment selections, capacity calculations, and proposals across air cooling, liquid cooling, and CRAH systems
- Build relationships with hyperscale operators, enterprise clients, and consulting engineers to establish basis-of-design specifications
- Partner with Sales to advance qualified opportunities, navigate value-engineering exercises, and deliver technical presentations
- Resolve complex application challenges, manage RFIs, and ensure submittal accuracy throughout the sales cycle
- Gather market intelligence on competitive cooling technologies to communicate differentiators and inform internal product teams
- Collaborate with internal engineering, supply chain, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution from order through delivery
